I am volunteering with the IRC right now. They have assigned me a family to hang out with. Last Saturday my friend and I decided to take them to the movies. Just for an American movie experiance. When I went to pick them up they seemed really perplexed... but reluctantly came with me even though I told them they didnt have to go.
Monday morning I had 7 messages on my office phone. It was my Nepalese friends explaining that they could not meet with me on Saturday because their grandmother was sick.
