wierd and bad

I love live music. For the most part if it is live and free I will give it my attention for at least a minute... even if it is weird and bad.

Weird #1
I met my friend at Pioneer Park. We were supposed to meet somewhere else but near the park I heard music in the distance and changed our meeting location. I thought it was a Journey cover band... it was an army cover band. They didnt play army songs. They were members of the army playing cover songs. There was even an airplane on the lawn. We concluded that they were trying to recruit us to the army... I almost signed up because I need direction... and because they played Pink, Blondie and a few others ... all in boots and camouflage... They made the army look like so much fun.

Weird and Bad #2
My co-worker and I rode our bikes to the gallivan center last week. Rumor has it they have live performances during the lunch hour. Last Wednesday was supposed to be a local acoustic folk group. With our packed lunches we sat front and center. I left for a minute to get a fork and came back to this...

It was uncomfortable. We cringed and clapped. What else do you do?

So, what are those women doing. It looks almost like a spin-off of the pajama party scene from Grease.
