-My supervisor asked me if I had any khakis? I looked at her confused. Why would I have khakis? She wanted car keys.
-I went with my co-worker to the store. When we got back to the car he unlocked the right side door. Then he opened the door behind and was going through his bag in the back seat. I thought it was really nice that he unlocked my door. I got in and sat there. He handed me the keys. Confused I looked up and realized I was sitting behind the wheel. The thing is I’m new and really unsure of my self at work right now. I’m pretty shy… and I think my co-workers think I’m weird. They don’t know just yet that I have a sense of humor. I started laughing. I explained to my co-worker the mistake. He just said, “Oh, I just thought you really wanted to drive”.
-I went with a client to a housing meeting. He has been homeless for a long time and finally came up for an apartment. Since I am new in town I don’t know my way around. When people tell me to go somewhere, I ask where that place is. They reference things differently. After more than enough explanation by their standards I leave, still not knowing where I’m supposed to go. After the housing meeting I took the client to the bank. After the bank we were supposed to go to his apartment where I would drop him off. Anyways, I was supposed to be finished with him. He asked me where I was from. I said Texas. In the next conversation he said something about tucker. Tucker is what the aboriginals call food. He mentioned Kentucky. I had no idea what he was saying. Again, since I don’t know my way around town it was up to the client to point right and left until we eventually reached our destination. We ended up in the drive through at KFC… Kentucky. It didn’t end there… I ended up taking him shopping and finally dropping him somewhere three hours later.
