A house... A house... We have a house!

I'm really excited. Nate and I found a house that we loved on Craig's List. We have been stalking the site for about a month now. Wednesday morning Nate woke me up around 11:00 to show me a house that was listed. Right away I said, "You need to call them!". We both loved it. The location is great, the place looks really good.

Anyways. It's ours. Can you believe it. The owner said they received 15 inquiries in less than 2 days. Since we have been stalking the site for the past month, we knew it was one of the best deals out there. Anyways... we haven't even seen it in real life, but we feel really good about jumping on it. As Nate emailed them I was over his shoulder saying, tell them you are a doctor, tell them we are going to be renting in Omaha for a few years, tell them we are mature, tell them how cool we are. I am sure he wasn't annoyed at all.

For me this feels very adult. Nate and I are going to really live in a place together that sort of belongs to us. We are going to have a yard. We can plant a garden. We are going to be living with our dog. We are going to have a baby in a few months. I'm going to be a stay at home mom. Trick-or-treaters might knock on our door on Halloween. We are going to buy furniture and hang pictures on the wall. We are going to buy a crib. I know I will be 35 next week, but this is the first time in my life that I have really felt grown-up.
